VISIT KALHYTTAN

Kalhyttan has for a long time been the place for many events, such as the skiing national championships ten times from the 1920s to 2015.

Here, there has also ben competitions in mountain biking, cross-country skiing, orienteering and sled dogs. Every year, the ski race "Arla race" is organized for about 700 children. In 2013, the sled dog championship was arranged at Kalhyttan and in 2015 the youth championship was arranged on skis.

Kalhyttan is a center for cross-country skiing, mountain biking, exercise running, orienteering and sled dogs. The special topography at Kalhyttan is suitable for all practitioners, from beginners to professionals. On the paved tracks you can train with wheelchairs, inlines and roller skis. On the side you can walk, jog and cycle.

Directions to Kalhyttan

Road 63 from Karlstad: After you pass Dammshöjden and drive down the hill towards Filipstad, turn right at the football field and follow the sign Kalhyttan.

From RV 26: Drive RV 63 towards Karlstad. Follow the southbound pass through Filipstad and turn left into the football field and follow the sign Kalhyttan.
