CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

At Kalhyttan we love snow. We think you do too.

The modern artificial snow facility provides snow throughout the winter. Kalhyttan is suitable for both you who are an exerciser and you who want to train hard before the Vasaloppet or the Swedish Championships.

Ski waxing shed with heating and pasture profiles are available. Please bring your own ski wax.

Track map

There are seven tracks and they all come together at Kalhyttan's ski stadium. 40 km of tracks are available for both freestyle and classic skiing and the track system is suitable for everyone, from beginners to elite skiers.

Artificial snow trails:
The artificial snow track of 4 km guarantees you nice skiing until spring. The artificial snow track has a few hills. Electric lighting in the evening until kl. 21:00.

Natural snow trails:

• 2 km: Slight hilly. Lit trail.
• 5 km: Easy to moderate hilly. Lit trail.
• Vasabanan 8 km: Slightly hilly course.
• Slalom slope course 10 km: Easy to moderate hilly.
• SM tracks 10- 12.5 km: For you who want tough hilly and a real challenge.
• Änghöjdsbanan 20 km: A slightly hilly course with some difficulties.

Ski playground

At the ski playground, children can learn to ski in the most fun ways. Here the children can also go sledding. The artificial snow cannon means that there is always snow in the winter.
